Work on G60 sci-tech corridor second phase starts

Construction for the second phase of the Songjiang G60 Sci-tech Cloud Corridor kicked off yesterday.

Taking up an area of 190,000 square meters, it will consist of 12 80-meter-high buildings, which would be connected on the top by an aluminum structure.

The roof will be covered by solar panels.

The ten buildings in the first phase are taking shape and they will be ready within the first quarter of the year. More than a dozen key projects have already signed agreements to move in.

The overall project, extending 1,500 meters when completed, is set to become the longest urban industrial corridor in the world.

The corridor is a joint work of over 200 designers, 600 engineers and 4,000 construction workers who have cracked down on many technical difficulties.
