The Songjiang-based G60 Sci-tech Corridor AI Industrial League was unveiled yesterday.
It is the sixth industrial league founded in the region following those on new material, robotics, smart driving, new energy and Internet-connected vehicles.
“The league will link up elements for the industrial chain, including the city, the industrial park, enterprises, research institutes and financial investment,” said Lu Min, chief engineer of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission.
“It will also build an AI ecological circle and industrial chain with international influence and boost the healthy development of the industry.”
The main role of the league is to build an AI innovation system, integrate resources and speed up relevant applications to pilot in the areas of manufacturing, logistics and electricity, according to Liu Wei, head of the CSG Smart Science and Technology Research Institute.
CSG Smart Science and Technology Co Ltd has been chosen as the chair unit of the league.
Industry meetings and seminars will be held regularly to look into AI topics and seek integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta cities.
