The first phase of the Songjiang-based CHINT-TUS Smart Electric Harbor is taking shape with the exterior wall decoration currently on. It is expected to be ready by the end of this year, according to the project’s Engineering Director Liu Lu.

One of the G60 Sci-tech Corridor’s significant projects and with an investment of 20 billion yuan (US$2.96 billion), the harbor is high-end manufacturing oriented and aims to bring together a batch of enterprises in emerging industries.

The construction kicked off in December 2017 and the current phase covers an area of 9.67 hectares. So far it has attracted 33 companies in the new energy, IT, energy saving and environment protection, smart electricity and other sectors.

“We plan to settle about 100 companies for this phase, making an average tax revenue of 1 million yuan per 667 square meters in five years,” said Zeng Yuanqian, marketing director of Tusincere Shanghai branch.

The Management Committee of the Songjiang Economic and Technology Development Zone as well as other relevant departments will serve to guarantee smooth arrival and operation of enterprises.
