Zhongshuge, known as “the most beautiful bookstore in Shanghai,” opened its first on-campus branch in Shanghai University of International Business and Economics in Songjiang, on October 8.
The 250-square-meter store has a variety of collections covering literature, life, art and economics.
“We have 10,000 books displayed on the shelves,” said Tao Shuting, manager of the store. “Considering the actual purchase and reading requirements of the teachers and students, we have bought in more stock on economy and management.”
The store tries to distinguish itself from other branches by becoming a study for the students.
It functions as a place for reading, leisure and student meeting. There is also an activity room that can hold 60 people, equipped with facilities like a projector and other items.
