Louisiana iris flowers in full bloom in Chenshan Botanical Garden

More than 20,000 Louisiana iris flowers are now in full bloom in Chenshan Botanical Garden in Songjiang. The blooming season is expected to last until the beginning of next month with different species start to flower one after another.

The iris flower in season now originates from the Mexican Gulf region around Louisiana and Florida. The plant can be 1 meter tall with three to six buds. When in full bloom, it looks like many birds flying in the air.

The iris garden in Chenshan covers 3,650 square meters with more than 300 species of iris flowers. Several frame settings have been installed for tourists to take pictures in the sea of flowers.
