Songjiang-based Jangho Curtain Wall Co Ltd has recently won two medals of the annual Luban Prize, the top honor for construction projects in China.
The winning projects are the Shanghai Tower in Lujiazui and the office tower building on White Magnolia Plaza.
The 623-meter Shanghai Tower boasts its double-skin fire-proof curtain wall that went through thousands of experiments and has so far won several domestic and international awards.
The curvy design for the plaza office building posed a great challenge as well. To overcome the bottleneck, the company invested 300 million yuan (US$45 million) in an innovative plan.
Jangho Curtain Wall is a subsidiary of Jangho Group in Beijing, which raked in eight awards of Luban this year.
The company is now undertaking the construction of Shanghai Stock Exchange and Qiantan Center in Shanghai, Huawei Production Base in Hangzhou and Sun Hung Kai Center in Nanjing.
